Phi 2.6.0

Phi Browser 2.6.0 is here, with clearer ways to supervise AI and fewer moments where the browser forgets which language everyone agreed to speak.

When AI is operating on a webpage, Phi now makes its activity easier to follow. Blocked clicks explain themselves more clearly, and a persistent stop button stays within reach. Autonomy is useful. So is a reliable way to say, "That will do, thank you."

Greetings are generated from your browser Memory to create the occasional "aha" moment. Every now and then they land closer to "good heavens," particularly when someone else can see your screen. We are refining what Greetings choose to surface based on your feedback, and 2.6.0 adds a toggle to hide them whenever you prefer, with Phi remembering your choice. Your browser Memory stays local on your Mac, AI Guardrail filters the generation process so no PII is transmitted, and each Greeting is meant for you alone. Greetings and recommended content now also better respect your chosen language, while the "Ask AI" context-menu action follows the active Chatbar language across supported locales and automatically generated chat titles are less inclined to wander off linguistically.

Skills buttons also have animated interaction states across the New Tab Page, chat, and the sidebar, making it clearer when something is happening. Buttons now have body language. It saves a surprising amount of awkwardness.

We also made Copy URL shortcuts more reliable with non-Latin input methods, fixed a macOS Settings layout issue, and corrected the font weight in Japanese Greetings. Small details, unless one of them was irritating you personally, in which case this was the entire release.

Clearer controls, steadier language, and buttons with better manners. Phi 2.6.0 is easier to direct and harder to misunderstand, which feels like a healthy arrangement between humans and software.
