Phi 2.7.0

Version 2.7.0Build 773

Phi Browser 2.7 is here, with better bookmarks, calmer reading, richer tab previews, and a little more room for other extensions that require a sidebar to move in without Phi getting territorial.

Bookmarks in your current Space are much easier to wrangle now. You can multi-select them, drag them around to reorder, use a proper context menu, and find them through global search. Reader View has arrived too, with configurable fonts and layout for supported sites, because sometimes the web page is mostly an elaborate obstacle course around the article you actually came to read.

Tabs now show page previews when you hover over them, while tab groups get a larger preview so you can see what sort of digital neighborhood you've built before wandering back in. Phi can also open sidebars from third-party extensions, especially AI extensions including Claude, alongside Phi's own sidebar. Peaceful coexistence between AIs, for now.

The new tab page now stays fast and usable even when remote fonts decide not to turn up for work. Comfortable layout is also the new default when browsing without an account. And in the less glamorous department, we removed an unwanted overlay that could appear while dragging the active tab group, and private browsing now keeps account sessions properly separate from regular browsing. As private browsing rather strongly suggests it should.

A little easier to organize, a little nicer to read, and a little more accommodating to whatever extension you happen to keep in the sidebar. Not a revolution, just Phi getting more comfortable in its own skin.
