Kiosk
A Kiosk is a lightweight window for one page. It lets you open a link away from your tabs and sidebar, look through it, and decide whether it belongs in one of your Spaces.
Use a Kiosk for links that may be useful but have not earned a permanent place yet. An article from Mail, a document from Messages, or a link you want to check without interrupting your current work can all stay in their own window. Close the Kiosk when you are done, or move the page into a Space if you want to keep it.
A Kiosk is temporary and does not return when Phi restarts.
Open a page in Kiosk
There are three common ways to open one:

A Kiosk opened from a page in Phi uses that page's Profile. A link opened from another app uses your last-used Profile.
Open matching links with URL Rules
Use a URL Rule when links to a site should always open in Kiosk.
- Open Settings → Navigation.
- Under URL Rules, click Manage URL Rules….
- Add a rule for the domain or URL you want to match.
- Choose Kiosk as the destination.
Links that match the rule now open in a Kiosk window. This works well for sites you want to keep outside your Spaces unless you decide to move the page later.
Switch Profiles
The current Profile appears on the left side of the address bar.
- Click the Profile name.
- Choose another Profile from the menu.
Phi opens the current page again with the Profile you chose. The account you see on the site may change because each Profile has its own cookies and signed-in sessions. Anything you have not submitted on the page, such as text in a form, may be lost when the page reloads.
Open the page in a Space
The Open in [Space] control is on the right side of the Kiosk toolbar.
- Click the main part of the control to move the page into the Space you last used in a regular Phi window.
- Click the arrow and choose a Space to move the page somewhere else.
- With the default shortcut, press ⌘O to use the main action and move the page into your current Space.
The page becomes a regular tab in the selected Space. Moving it to another Space may reload the page, so submit or save any work first.
Choose when Kiosk opens
Open Settings → Navigation, then find Kiosk.
- Open external links in Kiosk sends links from apps such as Mail and Messages to their own Kiosk windows. Turn it off to open those links in a regular Phi window.
- Open Kiosk when clicking links with ⌘⌥ held lets you hold Command and Option while clicking a link in Phi. Turn it off if you do not want that gesture to open a Kiosk.
These switches do not remove the Open in Kiosk item from a link's right-click menu.
